Current projects for 2011 include: WHOLESOME FISH - With influences spanning a world of tastes – from Celtic and gypsy-rooted folk through to Cajun, bluegrass, boogie-blues and punk – the Fish have their own distinctive and powerful sound. Singing self-penned narrative songs, and using a host of traditional instruments (fiddle, harmonica, accordion, banjo and guitar) and underpinned by a cooking rhythm section, the Wholesome Fish create music to DANCE to. The band released "BENDIGO BACKWARDS" on CD in December 2010. www.wholesomefish.co.uk OUR HELICAL MIND Our Helical Mind (OHM) are a 2-piece outfit from Nottingham, UK. Combining elements of Breakbeat, Drum & Bass and Funk, brought together without the aid of computers, programming or loops… Every sound you hear comes from either Drums or Bass with the aid of nothing but traditional analogue effects pedals. Take The A Tram Take The A Tram play an entertaining mix of soulful ballads, lively swing and latin jazz standards. The band features Mandy Tatton on vocals, alongside Fran Errock on bass, Andrei Celik on trumpet, and Rob Coates/Mick Cooke on guitar. Red Sea Jazz Led by trumpeter James Tolhurst, this jazz quintet play original, chilled out tunes first inspired by the intense stillness & beauty of Egypt's Sinai Desert & the Red Sea. The Blue Jaks Bluejaks are an eight piece soul band based in Nottingham and playing venues in and around the East Midlands. They play the classics that get everyone on their feet and are the perfect band for your wedding, party or corporate event.
